It seemed like this was one big Prozac nation, one big mess of malaise.
In 1974, the kids at Eli Lilly and Company discovered this magic combination of chemicals we now know as Prozac or Fluoxetine if we’re going by its generic name. It wasn’t until 1987 however that they finally got the go ahead to start making it for public consumption……and consume they did.
Prozac with its distinctive cream and green capsules has featured heavily in my artwork for over five years now and due to the high demand for the keyrings, I thought I’d make a batch of them this week to tide me over for a while. The more I made, the better they all looked together when they sat on my sofa in their half-completed states. As the rain thundered down on the caravan, these little happiness capsules took on their own personalities.
